Il pozzo e la macina: a country-chic bed & breakfast, a small farm, a private home-restaurant, an exclusive and enchanting event location; all situated in the Parma Apennines, in the extraordinary naturalistic setting of Valceno.

The name, chosen by Chiara and Stefano for their property, comes from the last use of the building: a grain mill. Originally the building, dating back between XVIII and XIX centuries, was a brick and lime kiln, handed on to different families and later unused for several decades.
A careful and philologically respectful restoration of its materials and interior spaces, begun in early 2016, brought it back to life.

The property is characterized by a private dwelling, where a breakfast/dining room is set up, a cellar for wine tastings in the area of the former mill gears and finally by the old country cottages, converted into two independent bedrooms with private bathrooms, which are flanked by the so-called risto-bottega, once used as a stable.

The whole complex, surrounded by a flat area and at a few tens of metres from the course of the Ceno River, is bordered by an adjoining wooded area, just a 5-minute drive from the historic centre of the village of Bardi, renowned for its homonymous castle.

Believing in the potential of that area of unspoiled beauty and tranquility, located on the Ligurian-Emilian Apennines and ideally situated along the routes leading to the Ligurian Sea, Tuscany and Parma city of art, Chiara and Stefano left their Lombard homeland to fulfill their dream of hospitality.
